// INSTRUCTORS

Nicoleigh Gamble
Nicoleigh began her yoga studies by accident in 1999. This was shortly after going through an identity crisis, because an injury ended her ballet career, and she was transitioning into scientific research; a seemingly 180 degree turn. Through yoga, she developed a deeper understanding of herself, the world, and a belief that yoga brings a peaceful and truthful existence to any individual. Nicoleigh brings warmth, compassion, and humor to her classes, as well as a sincere desire to help others through appropriate asana. She has been trained in both Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga styles, and has been most influenced by studies with Michael Hamilton. She holds two master's degrees, one in statistics and the other in neuropharmacology, and a PhD in physiology. Above all, her daily practice inspires her the most, and serves as a daily reminder of compassion for others.

Lesley Giovannelli from It's Yoga Kids
Enjoy healthy family fun with individual and group yoga poses, creative breathing exercises, and relaxing connection time. Designed for ages 2 years and up and open to all family members and caregivers. It’s Yoga, Kids® provides yoga as a healthy fun activity for mind and body development for all ages and abilities. www.itsyogakids.com

Kelly McGonigal
Kelly McGonigal, PhD, is a leading expert on the mind-body relationship and the psychology of yoga. She teaches yoga, meditation, and psychology at Stanford University. She received her PhD in psychology from Stanford University, with a concentration in humanistic medicine, the study of how emotions, spirituality, and the caregiver-patient relationship influence healing.

Owen Sayre
In search for a "body practice" after a long meditation retreat, Owen started learning yoga in 2000. After further meditation study in Asia he returned and studied yoga at Mt. Madonna Institute near Santa Cruz, completing Yoga Teacher Training. Most recently he has been influenced by the Viniyoga tradition – a holistic, very 'approachable' yoga, which he is eager to share with others.

Shy Sayar from Harmony Yoga
Shy teaches a unique form of yoga developed from his studies of Power, Iyengar, Shadow, Tibetan Heart Yoga, and Buddhist Meditation. His classes focus on challenging and augmenting the body's strenghts as much as the mind's serenity and one-pointed focus. Shy believes in yoga as preventative and curative medicine, and his related interests include raw nutritional science, bodywork, homeopathy, life coaching, and positive psychology.
